Sony has upgraded the PlayStation website, incorporating new features such as a library for owned PS4/PS5 games. A new set of avatars is also included.
If you haven’t already changed your avatar, this is how you can get these free avatars. The new avatars’ design is circular, corresponding to an earlier leak of the PS5 cold boot, which also revealed the console’s UI.
If you haven’t logged into your official PlayStation account on PC yet, you may be obligated to accept Sony’s new changes. To get your hands on the latest free avatars, go to the My PlayStation website.
Once there, select Account Settings from the top right corner of your profile. If you haven’t logged into the website in a while, you may be prompted to enter your account password at this point, and it will then present you with a new set of suggestions and options for personalized offers and more.
When you’re finished, go to your store profile and select edit avatar to see the new additions to the PlayStation Network. These are available all the way to the bottom and are easily identified by their circular design.
We’re not sure who can access these avatars from the PS4 or PS5, but if you create a new PlayStation Account, these will most likely be displayed by default.
PS5 Folders And Themes: Can You Customize Your UI Display With Different Backgrounds And Folders?
Are you trying to change the background of your PS5 or organize your games in a folder? This is the reason you may be having difficulty.
If you recently purchased a PS5 or PS5 Digital Edition, you may wonder how to personalize your consumer experience on the console with a desktop wallpaper, folders, or a Theme.
After all, the PS4 lets you change the background and create folders, so you’d think you’d have the same level of control as your PS5. It’s safe to assume that, like its predecessor, the PS5 will support themes, folders, and UI customization. Indeed, the Xbox Series X has full theme support, including the recent addition of a classic Xbox theme from the original Xbox.

Is the PS5 equipped with themes and folders?
If you came across this article because you couldn’t figure out how to change your theme or create a folder on your PS5, there’s a reason: Sony has confirmed that, for the time being, the PS5 will NOT support this type of UI customization. Sony stated flatly on its significant PS5 FAQ page, “No, PS5 will not support folders or themes at launch.”
Fast forward to July 2022, and Sony has released a new system software update beta that allows you to create “game lists,” which work similarly to folders on the PS4.
Sony claims you can have up to 15 game lists and 100 games per game. All games in your Game Library’s Your Collection tab, including disc, digital, and streaming titles, can be added to a game list. You can also have multiple game lists with the same game.
There is still no word on customizable themes.
There is currently no set release date for the customizable themes function. At the moment, it is unknown whether Sony will ever provide this functionality to PS5 users.
